About UsDate My Friend (DMF) started in San Francisco, March of 2002, when a couple of single girls decided to throw a party inviting only their single friends. Knowing that singles preferred to meet potential dates through friends, we asked our pals to invite all the single people they knew and before we knew it, DMF was born. Our first party was attended to by 400 amazing singles all of whom heard about the party because friends, told friends, who told more friends. Based off the success of our first few parties we worked with friends in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Washington, D.C. and started DMF parties there. Our goal has been and always will be to connect single friends with one another. When we heard about the first wedding of a couple who met at a DMF party we got goosebumps. When we heard about the second, third and tenth DMF wedding, we started to cry. We knew this was working...we knew we were on to something and people were actually meeting. That's why we do this.
